You’ve built the challenge.
You’ve got the killer offer.
Your tech works, your emails are firing…
But the sign-ups? Quiet.
The sales? Meh.
What’s going on?
More often than not, it's a pre-frame problem.
What Is a Pre-Frame?
A pre-frame is what shapes someone’s mindset before they experience your content.
It’s the difference between:
❌ “Oh great… another pitch-fest.”
✅ “Whoa — I need to pay attention to this.”
In just a few seconds, your pre-frame answers these subconscious questions:
• “Is this for me?”
• “Is this different than what I’ve seen?”
• “Should I trust this person?”
Before they listen to your message, they decide how to listen — and whether to care at all.
Why Pre-Framing Matters
No matter how good your funnel is…
If the pre-frame is weak, your audience sees everything through a skeptical lens.
They scan.
They half-listen.
They click away before you ever get to the good part.
But with a powerful pre-frame?
They lean in.
They stay longer.
They want to hear the pitch.
Where to Use Pre-Frames in Your Funnel
1. Ad Copy / Opt-in Page
This is where the first pre-frame happens.
Your headline and subhead should say:
• “This is different.”
• “This is exactly what you’ve been looking for.”
• “Here’s why it will work for you.”
2. Challenge / Webinar Intro
Before you dive into the content, re-establish the frame:
• “Most people think [X], but here’s what they’ve missed…”
• “This isn’t just another info session. This is a breakthrough strategy.”
• “I built this for people who are tired of [problem] and ready for [result].”
3. Email Sequences / Pre-Event Videos
Use email to shape the belief system before your event even begins:
• “This isn’t about hustle or hype. It’s about simple math.”
• “Forget everything you’ve heard about [topic]. Here’s what really works.”
Examples of Killer Pre-Frames
• “Why most challenges don’t work — and the one tweak that flips the script”
• “You’ve been taught to sell during the pitch. But we flip the funnel upside down — and sell before we teach.”
• “If you’re an introvert who hates live selling, this will feel like a relief (and convert better, too).”
How to Build Your Own High-Converting Pre-Frame
Ask yourself:
• “What do they believe that would cause them to ignore this?”
• “What do they need to believe instead?”
• “How can I make that shift in under 30 seconds?”
Your pre-frame is not fluff — it’s conversion glue.
Without it, your funnel slides right off their brain.
🧠 Final Thought:
If you want better conversions, don’t just fix the pitch.
Frame the message.
Make them care before you make your case.
The rest will flow.
